Does my dog fit? Cabin and train calculator
Quick answer
Enter your dog's weight, the bag's weight and its measurements. We tell you operator by operator whether it fits, with the published rule and its check date. The calculator books nothing and works without your email.
Measurements are the maximums each operator publishes for the cabin bag or carrier, and the order you type the sides in does not matter. We compare the figures you declare, not whether your dog really fits in the bag or can stand up inside it. Always check the operator's page before booking.
Frequently asked questions
How is cabin weight counted?
On all three airlines the limit includes the bag: Iberia 8 kg total, Vueling 10 kg with the dog inside and Air Europa 8 kg of dog with 10 kg total. On trains, none of the three operators publishes whether the carrier counts toward the 10 kg, so we flag it and it is worth asking when you book.
What if my dog is over the cabin limit?
Flying, the hold is left, and of the three airlines only Iberia publishes conditions (up to 45 kg with the carrier, excluding snub-nosed and listed dangerous breeds). By rail you have Renfe's 40 kg extra and Iryo's large-dog service.
Does the calculator book anything?
No. It only compares your figures against the rules each operator publishes, with our check date. Booking always happens on the operator's own site.
How often is it updated?
Whenever we check an official page and something changed. Every rule carries the date we read it, and the sources are linked below.
